We will stop supporting the older Cardano (ADA) deposit address format to enhance efficiency and security across our services. This means that, as of December 7th, any deposits sent to old Cardano addresses will no longer be automatically credited and will incur additional handling fees for recovery.
What is changing?
- Old address format no longer supported: Addresses starting with “DdzFF” or “Ae2” will be discontinued. Deposits sent to these addresses after December 7th will require manual processing, causing delays and an added €50 handling fee per transaction.
- New address format required: From November 7th, you can generate a new Cardano deposit address that starts with “addr1” by visiting the ADA deposit page in your account. This address format will be mandatory for all future ADA deposits.
How to update your Cardano address
Simply visit the Cardano deposit page in your account to generate your new address starting with “addr1.” Switching to the new format is straightforward, and doing so now will help you avoid disruptions and added costs.
Key dates to keep in mind
- Starting November 7th: New “addr1” addresses will be available for you to generate. We recommend switching to this new format as soon as possible to avoid potential issues.
- Between November 7th and December 7th: While deposits to your old address will still be credited to your account, we urge you to make the switch as soon as possible.
- After December 7th: We will no longer support the old address format. Deposits sent to discontinued addresses will require manual recovery and will incur a €50 handling fee per transaction.
