You can easily verify your bank account by making a deposit. The IBAN will be verified automatically in most cases. In this support article you will find the available payment methods and for each method the steps for making a deposit.
Please note that it is only possible to use a bank account that belongs to yourself.
In some cases the bank account is not automatically verified. This can be due to the following reasons:
You entered the wrong name when creating your Bitvavo account
In case you have entered your name incorrectly when creating your account, we can manually change the name of your account into the name on your identity card. Please send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org so we can change this for you.
Joint bank account
If you have used a joint bank account, we may only have received the name of your partner. In that case we would like to receive a photo of your bank card, which you can upload here. With this information we can verify that the bank account is (also) on your name.
Your bank did not share the name of the bank account with Bitvavo
In some cases, we may not receive an ascription from your bank, which means we cannot check whether the used bank account belongs to you. In these cases we would like to receive a photo of your payment card or a print screen of your account information. You can upload the photo here.
Once you have provided the necessary information, we will take it up as soon as possible so that the funds received can be credited to your Bitvavo account.
If you have any further questions, please send us an email to email@example.com. We are happy to help you.
