How do I withdraw funds to my bank account?

In this article, we will explain step by step how to withdraw the Euro balances in your Bitvavo account to your bank account.

Please note that you can only withdraw Euro balances to your linked bank account. If you only have digital currency on the balance of your Bitvavo account, you need to sell (part of) it first. Detailed instructions on how to sell digital currency can be found here.

During national holidays (NL), your withdrawal may take longer to reach your bank account. Read more information on how this works at the bottom of this article.

Click on the tabs for instructions for the app or website.

  1. Log in to your Bitvavo app.
  2. Click on the middle blue button and choose withdrawal.

Withdrawals during national holidays

When you ask to withdraw funds on our platform, Bitvavo sends your order directly to our bank. Unfortunately, transactions during weekends and holidays are not processed by the banks, which can cause delays.The main holidays when delays mainly occur are:
  • Easter (dates vary per year);
  • Pentecost (dates vary each year);
  • Christmas (25 and 26 December).
In cases where you make a withdrawal on Thursday but there is a national holiday on Friday and/or Monday, the bank may not process the order until Tuesday. This can result in the withdrawal being in your bank account only on the following Wednesday. We apologise for the inconvenience and kindly ask you to be patient during the holidays. Please only contact us if your withdrawal has not arrived by Thursday, in which case we will be happy to assist you further.
