A tokenswap is the exchange of a digital currency that has been issued in the form of a token, for the same digital currency but issued in the form of a coin. For example, in 2017 and 2018 a lot of ICO’s have been issued on the Ethereum network. If these ICO’s want to go to their own blockchain, it is often necessary to exchange the issued tokens for a new coin.
How does Bitvavo handle tokenswaps
If a tokenswap occurs with a digital currency that you can trade on Bitvavo, Bitvavo will make sure that all digital currency stored on the hosted wallets of Bitvavo are exchanged automatically. No action on your part is required for this exchange.
