How can I restore my password?
Summary: Forgot your password? You can set a new one from the login page on the website or in the Bitvavo app. We send a 6-digit code to your email address. Once you enter it, you can choose a new password. For your security, crypto withdrawals are blocked for 24 hours after a password reset.
How to reset your password
- Go to the login page on the website or open the Bitvavo app, and enter your email address.
- On the password step, click Change email or password.
- Click Send code. We send a 6-digit code to your email address.
- Enter the code to continue.
- Choose a new password and confirm it.
You can now log in with your new password.

The code can take up to 10 minutes to arrive. Please also check your spam or junk folder. Still no code? See Why did I not receive an email?
Crypto withdrawals after a password reset
For your security, crypto withdrawals are blocked for 24 hours after you reset your password. This protects your account if someone else tries to change your password. During this time, you can still withdraw euros and trade as usual.
