Scheduled maintenance on 18 October 2026

On Sunday, 18 October 2026, from 05:00 to 07:00 AM CEST, Bitvavo will undergo scheduled maintenance. All markets will be halted and all operations temporarily suspended. This article explains what this means for your orders and positions, and how you can prepare.

What will be halted during maintenance

Between 05:00 and 07:00 AM CEST, the following will be temporarily unavailable:

• Buying, selling and placing new orders
• Changing or cancelling existing orders
• Opening, closing or changing margin positions
• Deposits and withdrawals

Your open orders

Open limit orders stay in the order book during maintenance and are not cancelled. They’re not executed while markets are halted. After maintenance, they can execute again once trading resumes.

Margin trading

During maintenance, you can’t manage your margin positions. This means you can’t close a position, add collateral or change your take profit (TP) and stop loss (SL). If you’d like to make changes, we recommend doing this before Sunday, 05:00 AM CEST.

Liquidations continue as usual during maintenance. Your TP and SL are paused and are checked again when markets reopen. Because prices can change during maintenance, your TP or SL may execute at a different price than the level you set.
