SEI migrates from SEI network to SEI EVM

Introduction
Bitvavo will support the upcoming Sei network migration from the old Sei network to the new Sei EVM. After the upgrade, your SEI deposit address will change, and Bitvavo will no longer support deposits and withdrawals on the old Sei network. Trading of SEI will not be impacted during this network migration.
Timeline
- June 15, 2026: We will close the old Sei network. Deposits and withdrawals using your current SEI address will be disabled.
- June 17, 2026: We will officially open support for the new Sei EVM network.
How to generate your new deposit address
On or after June 17, 2026, you will need to generate your new Sei EVM deposit address. Please follow the steps below.
- Log in to your Bitvavo account.
- Navigate to your SEI wallet.
- Click or tap on "Deposit" to generate your new Sei EVM deposit address.
- Update your old SEI address everywhere you use it.
