Bitcoin White Paper Day campaign: how it works

On Halloween 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto published the Bitcoin white paper. To celebrate the 18th anniversary, 18 winners will each receive €500 in BTC. This article explains how to take part and how entries work.

Campaign period

The campaign runs from 20 October 2026, 09:00 CET, until 3 November 2026, 23:59 CET.

How it works

1. Open the Campaign Hub in the Bitvavo app, tap Join now and accept the terms and conditions. You can join until 3 November 2026, 23:59 CET.
2. Earn 1 entry for every €10 you buy, sell or convert, including margin trades. You can collect up to 1,000 entries.
3. Your entries are counted automatically and shown in the Campaign Hub.

Trades between euro and stablecoins, or between two stablecoins, don't count.

Who can take part?

You can take part if you:

• Are 18 years or older
• Have a verified Bitvavo account (identity and bank verification completed)
• Join the campaign in the Bitvavo app during the campaign period

Prizes and winners

• On 6 November 2026, we'll draw 18 winners of €500 in BTC each and notify them by email at the address linked to their Bitvavo account.
• You can win a maximum of 1 prize.
• The prize is added to your Bitvavo account before 9 November 2026, 18:00 CET.
• The amount of BTC you receive is based on the BTC/EUR rate on Bitvavo at the moment the prize is added to your account.

You're responsible for any tax obligations related to the prize.
