How can I transfer funds using PayPal ?

PayPal allows users with an email address to send and receive payments online. Bitvavo only supports deposits through PayPal. The network is built on the existing financial infrastructure of banks. You need to create an account at Paypal first and connect your bank account and or credit card before you can transfer funds from your PayPal account to your Bitvavo account.

Important: A deposit with PayPal will only be accepted if the name and email address fully match with your Bitvavo account (also small spelling mistakes are not allowed). 

Click on the buttons for App or Website.

To deposit fiat through PayPal on your app you must go through the following steps:

1. Log in to your Bitvavo App.

2. Select the + button or the arrows at the bottom to deposit euro amounts.

3. Choose payment method PayPal

4. Enter the € amount you want to deposit, click Continue to be forwarded to the Transaction summary

5. Check the summary and click Confirm and deposit to be automatically forwarded to the PayPal payment environment.

6. Login to your Paypal account.

7. Select your preferred method. For bank accounts or credit cards, the same fee is charged.

8. After confirming the payment method you will be redirected to your Bitvavo account.

9. Please refresh your page after completing the deposit, the Bitvavo servers need to interact with Paypal and update the data, this could take up to 5min.

For now, the total amount that can be deposited by PayPal into the Bitvavo account is €10.000. This cannot be increased, you will have to use another payment method thereafter.
