What is the Pro Mode and how does it work?

What is Pro Mode?
Pro Mode is an advanced view in Bitvavo that gives you deeper insights into the market. It includes tools like the order book, price charts, real-time data, and multiple order types. This makes it easier to apply trading strategies and perform technical analysis.
Screen overview
- Left: Select your trading pair, place orders, and view asset info.
- Center: View the order book and price chart.
- Right: See live market trades.
- Bottom: Check your open orders, transaction history, and portfolio (after logging in).
Placing an order (left panel)
In this section, you can choose whether you want to buy or sell and select your order type:
- Limit: Set your own price for the order.
- Market: Your order executes immediately at the best available price.
- Stop Limit: Your order becomes active when a trigger price is reached.
Fill in the amount you want to buy or sell. You'll immediately see the total value. You can also use advanced settings for more options.
Below the order section, you'll find the top gainers and losers over the past 24 hours. You can also access your watchlist and personal assets through other tabs.
Order book (center left)
The order book shows real-time buy and sell orders:
- Green: buy orders
- Red: sell orders
- Each row shows price, amount, and total value
The "spread" is the difference between the highest bid and lowest ask price.
Price chart (center right)
The chart is powered by TradingView and offers:
- Selectable timeframes (e.g., 1 hour, 1 day)
- Technical indicators like RSI or MACD
- Custom drawing tools
- Option to show or hide past orders and trades
Market trades (right panel)
This panel shows real-time trades including price, amount, and timestamp. It helps you gauge how active the market is at that moment.

At the bottom, you'll see your:
- Open orders
- Order history
- Full crypto portfolio

Why can't I see my portfolio?
You are probably not logged in. Please log in to view your portfolio and orders.
What's the difference between a limit order and a market order?
A market order is executed immediately at the best available price. A limit order only gets executed if the price you set is reached.
How can I mark a crypto as favorite?
Click the trading pair in the top left. A screen will open where you can select cryptos. Tap the star icon to mark one as a favorite.
