Downloading your transaction history is important for record-keeping and tax purposes. Occasionally, you may experience bugs or limitations when trying to generate these reports.

Transaction history export limitations

If you are facing issues when downloading a file and the error shown says that the downloaded file is incomplete, it could be due to the handling of data and limitations in the current file format, the transaction history export is limited to 30,000 lines. We are working on offering files that allow for more data.

If your account has more than 30,000 trades, deposits, or withdrawals over the selected period, you may see an error when you click "Export". This error results in an incomplete file being downloaded to your device.

Requesting an ad-hoc report

If the export shows you an error when downloading or results in an incomplete file, please reach out to our support team. They will be able to generate an ad-hoc report for you.

  1. Contact the Bitvavo support team via email or live chat.
  2. Specify that you are experiencing the 30,000 line export limit.
  3. Provide the exact date range you need for your transaction history.

Why did my download fail?
