How can I change my password?

I can't log in anymore and want to change my password

If you can't log in to your Bitvavo account, you'll need to reset your password first. Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Bitvavo login page.
  2. Enter your email address and continue.
  3. Click Change email or password.
  4. Enter the email address associated with your Bitvavo account and click Continue.
  5. You will now receive a 6-digit code in your email. Fill in the 6-digit code and click Continue.
  6. You can now choose a new password to secure your Bitvavo account.

I can still log in to my account and want to change my password

You can easily change your password by following the steps below:

  1. Login to your Bitvavo account.

  2. Navigate to your profile on the top right and select Security from the dropdown menu.

  3. Select Change password.

  4. Enter your current password and new password, then click Continue.

  5. Your password has been successfully changed.

I requested a password change but I didn't receive an email

If you've requested a password change but didn't receive an email with the code, there may be an issue with your email account or spam filter settings. You can resolve this by contacting our support team at support@bitvavo.com. Please include your account details and the email address you used for your Bitvavo account so we can assist you in resolving the issue.

I no longer have access to the email address where I should receive the email.

If you have requested a password change but cannot receive the confirmation email because you have a new email address, we offer a re-verification procedure. You will first need to update your email address. You can start the procedure here: start the re-verification.
