How can I verify my phone number?
To enable 2FA or request API keys, you first need to add your phone number to your account.
To add your phone number:
- Log in to your Bitvavo account.
- Click on your name in the top right and go to "Verification".
- Under "Personal details", click on "Add phone number".
- Select the country of your country code.
- Enter your phone number, including the country code.
- Enter your password and continue.
- An SMS code will now be sent to the provided phone number. Enter the SMS code and confirm.
Your phone verification is now complete.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't I receive an SMS code?
If you don't receiving the SMS code, it's possible that your phone number is linked to a different or old Bitvavo account. If this does not sound correct, ask to talk to an employee so we can help you further.
Why do I get an SMS saying that my phone number is in use?
You receive this message if your phone number is already linked to another Bitvavo account, so it cannot be added to a second one.
If you do not know who has your phone number linked to their Bitvavo account, ask to talk to an employee so we can assist you.
