Adding a new bank account (IBAN)
To change the bank account (IBAN) linked to your Bitvavo account, you first need to add a new bank account (IBAN).
Step 1: Make a Small Deposit
You can add a new bank account by making a (small) deposit. For more information on how to deposit funds to verify a new bank account (IBAN), please refer to this support article.
Remove old bank account
Once your new IBAN is successfully linked to your account, you can remove the old bank account yourself. Below we explain how to do this, depending on the platform you use.
- Open the Bitvavo app.
- Tap the profile icon in the top-right corner.
- Go to "Payment accounts".
- Tap the three dots icon for account you want to remove.
- Tap "Remove account".
- Go to bitvavo.com and log in.
- Click your name in the top-right corner and choose "Payment accounts".
- Tap the three dots icon for account you want to remove.
- Click "Remove payment account" and confirm.
Note: If you haven’t linked a new bank account yet, we’ll ask you to do that first before you can remove the old one.
